Mezimori Union Bancorporation (MZ Bank) - Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
Jurisdiction: Commonwealth of Redmont (DemocracyCraft Server) Introduction: Welcome to Mezimori Union Bancorporation ("MZ Bank"). By opening an account or using any MZ Bank services, you agree to the following Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. These terms apply to all clients of MZ Bank, without exception, including individuals and organizations. Please read this document carefully. If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use MZ Bank's services.
Terms of Service
1. Scope and Acceptance These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern all MZ Bank accounts and banking services. Applicability: The Terms apply to all clients and account holders of MZ Bank. By creating an account, depositing funds, or otherwise using our services, you accept and agree to these Terms. Continued use of MZ Bank's services after any changes to these Terms (see Section 8) also constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Account Types Covered MZ Bank offers various account types, including checking accounts and savings accounts. These Terms also cover any future account types or financial products we may introduce (for example, loan accounts or investment accounts). Unless stated otherwise in a specific product agreement, all such accounts are governed by the general terms herein.
3. Interest Rates MZ Bank may pay interest on certain account balances (such as savings accounts). Variable Rates: Interest rates are variable and set at MZ Bank's discretion. We may adjust interest rates from time to time based on market conditions or bank policy. Current rates for all account types will be listed in a separate published schedule (rate sheet) available to clients. MZ Bank reserves the right to change interest rates at any time. Clients are responsible for reviewing the published rate schedule for updates. Changes to interest rates will not modify any other term of this agreement.
4. Fees and Charges
MZ Bank may charge fees for certain services or account activities (for example, monthly maintenance fees, transaction fees, overdraft fees, etc.). All applicable fees are detailed in a separate fee schedule or disclosure provided by MZ Bank. We reserve the right to introduce new fees or adjust existing fees. If we adjust fees, we will update the fee schedule accordingly. It is the client's responsibility to review the fee schedule, which will be made available through official MZ Bank channels (e.g., our Discord server). No Hidden Fees: MZ Bank will not charge any fees not disclosed in advance in the fee schedule.
5. Account Freezes and Suspensions Fraud & Legal Compliance: MZ Bank reserves the right to freeze, hold, terminate, or suspend your account (or specific transactions) if we have reason to believe that: (a) your account is involved in or targeted by fraud, theft, or unauthorized activity; (b) you are using the account for money laundering or other illegal purposes; (c) we are required to do so by law, court order, or government authorities; or (d) you have otherwise violated these Terms or other applicable rules. In the event of an account freeze, MZ Bank will make reasonable efforts to notify you of the freeze and the reason, unless we are legally prohibited from doing so (for example, if a law enforcement agency directs us not to inform the client). While an account is frozen, you may be temporarily unable to withdraw, transfer, or access funds until the issue is resolved. MZ Bank is not liable for any losses or damages you may incur due to a freeze if the freeze was conducted for the above reasons.
6. Account Access and Transactions Discord Banking: MZ Bank provides remote banking services via Discord (an online communication platform). Clients can use MZ Bank's official Discord server or bot to: make deposit requests, request withdrawals, check balances, and view transaction logs. Transactions initiated through Discord (such as requesting a withdrawal or deposit) are considered official banking instructions from the client. In-Game Deposits: Clients may also deposit money in-game on the DemocracyCraft Minecraft server using the command /db deposit (which transfers in-game currency to MZ Bank's in-game account). However, any deposit made with the /db deposit command must be accompanied by a screenshot as proof. The screenshot should clearly show the in-game deposit transaction and must be submitted to MZ Bank via Discord (in the designated channel or to a bank representative) for the deposit to be credited. No Other Deposit Methods: MZ Bank is not obligated to support or accept any deposit methods other than those explicitly described here (e.g., Discord-based transactions and the /db deposit with screenshot). Deposits or payment attempts through unsupported means (for
example, sending money to a staff member in-game without using the proper command and documentation) may be rejected or not credited to your account. Withdrawals: Withdrawals can be requested through the same Discord banking system. MZ Bank will process withdrawal requests by transferring the specified amount to you in-game or via the agreed method, subject to verification and available funds. We may require confirmation of your in-game identity (such as verifying your Discord ID or in-game name) before processing large withdrawals. Transaction Logs: MZ Bank will maintain logs of all transactions (deposits, withdrawals, transfers) and may make these logs accessible to you (for example, via Discord bot commands or statements) at MZ Bank's convenience. It is your responsibility to review your transaction history and report any discrepancies as soon as possible.
7. Minimum Balance Requirement All accounts at MZ Bank must maintain a minimum balance of $1,000 at all times. If your account balance falls below $1,000, MZ Bank may notify you and request that you restore the minimum balance. Consequences of Falling Below Minimum: MZ Bank reserves the right to take certain actions if an account remains below the $1,000 minimum, such as charging a fee, restricting account features, or in prolonged cases, closing the account. We will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy a low balance before any closure. It is your responsibility to monitor your account balance. If you know an upcoming transaction might drop your balance below $1,000, you should deposit additional funds or contact the bank to discuss options in advance.
8. Changes to These Terms MZ Bank may update or change these Terms of Service at any time. If we make material changes, we will inform clients by posting the updated Terms through official channels (such as our Discord announcement or website) and/or direct notification. Continued Use = Acceptance: If you continue to use your MZ Bank account or services after the Terms have been changed, that continued use will constitute your acceptance of the revised Terms. For this reason, we encourage you to review the Terms periodically. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using MZ Bank's services and may close your account (subject to settling any pending obligations).
9. Technical Issues and Liability No Warranty of Uninterrupted Service: MZ Bank provides its services on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive to keep our banking services (Discord bot, in-game commands, etc.) running smoothly at all times, we do not guarantee that services will be uninterrupted or error-free. There are inherent technical risks in online and game-based banking.
Waiver of Liability for Technical Failures: MZ Bank is not liable for any losses (including lost profits or data) or damages resulting from technical problems, system outages, or failures that prevent or delay transactions. This includes, for example, downtime of the Minecraft server, Discord outages, plugin or command failures, network issues, or any other software/hardware malfunctions beyond MZ Bank's direct control. You assume the risk of such technical issues when using our services. Our Commitments: In the event of a technical error or outage, MZ Bank will make reasonable efforts to restore services and correct any erroneous account entries. For instance, if a deposit or withdrawal is incorrectly credited or omitted due to a system glitch, we will investigate and adjust your account to reflect the correct transaction once the issue is discovered. However, MZ Bank will not be responsible for indirect consequences of technical failures (such as missed business opportunities or other secondary effects). We recommend that clients keep their own records of key transactions (including saving screenshots of Discord or in-game confirmations) to assist in verifying account activity if needed.
10. Dispute Resolution (Mediation Clause) If you have a dispute or claim against MZ Bank arising out of your account or these Terms, you agree to first seek resolution through mediation. Specifically, you must engage in mandatory mediation through MZ Law (the law office/mediation service designated by MZ Bank) before pursuing any formal legal action. Mediation is a process where a third-party mediator from MZ Law will work with you and MZ Bank to try to resolve the dispute informally and amicably. Process: To initiate mediation, contact MZ Bank to inform us of the dispute and your request to mediate. Both parties will then schedule a mediation session at a mutually convenient time. Each side will bear its own costs for mediation, but the cost of the mediator (if any) will be paid by you. Mediation discussions are confidential and aimed at reaching a voluntary settlement. Good Faith Requirement: Both you and MZ Bank agree to participate in the mediation in good faith, which means providing any needed information and genuinely attempting to resolve the issue. If the dispute is resolved in mediation, the agreement can be put in writing and will bind both parties. If the dispute cannot be resolved through mediation within a reasonable time, either party may then consider proceeding to court. However, mediation is a mandatory prerequisite - you must attempt mediation first. By agreeing to these Terms, you waive any right to file a lawsuit against MZ Bank until you have made a genuine attempt to resolve the matter via mediation through MZ Law.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction These Terms of Service, and any disputes arising from them or MZ Bank services, are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Redmont. By using MZ Bank, you agree that any legal action or proceeding concerning your account or these Terms (that is not resolved through mediation) must be brought exclusively in the courts of the Commonwealth of Redmont. In other words, Redmont's courts have sole jurisdiction over such disputes, to the
exclusion of courts of any other state or jurisdiction. You also agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of Redmont courts for any litigation related to MZ Bank. Venue: Lawsuits shall be filed in the appropriate court within Redmont (for example, the Federal Court of Redmont or District Court of Redmont, as applicable to the claim). Both MZ Bank and the client waive any objection to the venue as inconvenient or improper. This clause is made to ensure consistency and predictability in how disputes are handled, given that MZ Bank operates under Redmont law. Survival: This jurisdiction clause (and the mediation clause above) will survive the termination of your relationship with MZ Bank.
