This includes logs from our Discord banking bot (e.g., deposit/withdrawal requests you make) and in-game transaction records (such as /db deposit logs). - Communication Records: Copies of communications with you, such as support tickets, Discord messages related to banking transactions, or other correspondence. We retain these to document instructions or any issues you report. - Usage Data: We may collect technical information when you interact with our services, such as the dates/times you access your account via Discord or any errors encountered, for security and troubleshooting. We collect only what we need to serve you and meet our legal obligations. For example, we do not collect personal information like your real name, address, or payment card details since our banking system uses in-game currency only. If in the future we offer services requiring additional personal data, we will update this policy and obtain necessary consent.

This can include sending confirmations of transactions, notifying you of important account events (like a low balance or account freeze), responding to support requests, or advising you of updates to our Terms or Privacy Policy. - Security and Verification: Information like your IGN and Discord ID are used to verify that we are dealing with the correct person when you initiate a transaction or request account info. This is to prevent unauthorized access. - Legal Compliance: We may use and retain certain data to comply with legal obligations. For example, we keep transaction records as required by financial regulations, and we monitor accounts for suspicious activity to comply with anti-money laundering (AML) laws and other regulations in Redmont. If we detect potential fraud or illegal activity, we may use your data to investigate and take appropriate action (such as freezing your account as noted in the Terms). - Improvement of Services: Internally, we might analyze aggregated, non-identifying information to improve our banking services. Because MZ Bank operates in a Minecraft server environment, we also rely on the DemocracyCraft server's security measures for in-game transaction data. We will coordinate with the server administrators as needed to ensure that in-game commands and data are handled safely.
No Guarantee: While we are committed to protecting your data, please note that no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. MZ Bank cannot guarantee absolute security of information, especially given the online nature of Minecraft and Discord. However, we continuously review and enhance our security measures to adapt to new threats or vulnerabilities. By using our services, you acknowledge that there is some inherent risk in any online data exchange. Data Retention: MZ Bank retains personal data for as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law or best practice. For instance, if you close your account, we may retain your account records for a certain period (e.g., a few months) in case of any post-closure issues or audits. We may also retain transaction records for a longer period if required by current or future financial regulations or tax laws in Redmont. When personal data is no longer needed, we will securely delete or anonymize it upon customer request. Breach Response: In the unlikely event of a data breach or security incident that compromises your personal information, MZ Bank will promptly notify affected clients and take steps to mitigate the damage, in accordance with applicable law. We may also report such incidents to Redmont authorities as required by the Privacy Act or other laws.
5. Sharing of Information MZ Bank treats your personal information as private and confidential. We do not share, sell, or rent your personal data to third parties for their own marketing or other independent use. We will only share your information under the following circumstances:
1. With Your Consent: We will share your personal information with a third party only if you give us explicit permission. For example, if you want us to work with another bank or service on your behalf and you consent to our sharing of relevant details, we will do so as instructed.
2. Within MZ Bank and Affiliates: Your information may be shared within the internal divisions of MZ Bank or with any future subsidiaries/affiliates of MZ Bank, to the extent necessary to provide our services. (As of now, MZ Bank operates as an entity with one subsidiary. If we form other subsidiaries or partner with an affiliate, they will be bound by the same Privacy Policy and confidentiality requirements.) We may also share your information with other member companies within the Mezimori Union, to the extent necessary to provide our services. We will not share your data with any separate, unrelated entity without a lawful basis.
3. Service Providers: MZ Bank may engage trusted third-party service providers to help us run our operations (for example, an IT consultant to maintain our Discord bot or a data backup service, or a credit-rating service for loan application evaluation). If these providers need access to personal data, they will be obligated to use the information only for the services they perform for us and to keep it confidential.

a. Government or Law Enforcement Requests: If a Redmont law (or valid court order, subpoena, or warrant) compels us to provide information, we will comply after verifying the request's legitimacy. For example, if Redmont courts or regulators demand certain account records as part of an investigation, we must provide them. b. To Protect Ourselves and Others: If disclosure is necessary to enforce our Terms of Service, protect MZ Bank's rights or property, or in urgent situations to protect the personal safety of our clients or the public, we may disclose information as allowed by law. For instance, reporting suspected fraud or security threats to relevant authorities might involve sharing client information. c. Business Transfers: If MZ Bank is ever involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information might be transferred to the successor or acquiring entity so that your banking services can continue. In such a case, we will ensure the new owner honors the existing Privacy Policy or provides notice and an opportunity to opt-out or close your account before your data is transferred under a different policy. Outside of these scenarios, MZ Bank will not share your personal data with any third party. Even within the DemocracyCraft community, we will never disclose your balances or transactions to other players or announce them publicly without your consent except to transaction counterparties or when required by law. If we ever have to share your data due to a legal requirement, and if the law allows, we will attempt to notify you about what information is being shared.

There is typically no charge for reasonable access requests, but MZ Bank may charge if requests are frequent, broad in scope, or otherwise impose non-negligible costs on our business. - Right to Correction: If you discover that any personal information we have is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to request a correction. For instance, if your contact discord account on file is wrong or your account information has a typo, inform us and we will update it. We want to keep accurate records. If certain information can only be updated by you (for example, your Discord username changes), we will explain how you can update it or input the new information into our system. This right to correct ensures that we don't keep using incorrect data. MZ Bank will make the correction as soon as practicable after your request, and we will confirm to you when we've done so. If we ever have to refuse a request (such as denying an access request), we will provide you with the reason, to the extent allowed by law, and inform you of any further options. You can open a support ticket on the server to raise your issue. Please include as much detail as possible (for example, your account number or IGN and what information you are requesting or which issue you are concerned about). - In-Game: You can also contact a bank officer in-game via mail or chat to ask for help, though for detailed requests we may still direct you to Discord or email to ensure proper documentation and follow-up. Response Time: We will acknowledge receipt of your request or complaint as soon as possible (generally within 1-2 Redmont business days). We aim to provide a substantive response or resolution within a reasonable time frame, typically no more than 1-2 weeks for most requests. If a request is complex or requires more investigation, we will let you know and keep you updated on the progress. Complaint Resolution: When we receive a privacy complaint, our team (with input from our legal counsel if needed) will investigate the issue.
